Welcome to ancient Egypt.
The aim of the following Edutainment – or ”educational entertainment” – program is to introduce you to the glorious culture of ancient Egypt in a way that is both interesting and informative. The four modules, or sections, of the program will acquaint you with life in ancient Egypt, and with many fascinating facts about that civilization’s gods, myths and history.

"The Golden Afterlife from the Valley of Kings" is currently presented in a museum tour in USA. It was a good idea by the designers of the "edutainment" CD-ROM "Interactive Egypt - Tutankhamun" to accompany this large exhibit. It was foreseeable that the production of such an "edutainment" device in view of a complex and versatile as well as profound Egyptian culture and history will be a difficult undertaking.

The "edutainment" section is another larger sector with that CD-ROM. The many interactive elements animate every single game and one is spoilt for choice which game appeals most. We finally decided for the large Quiz and Webory. With the "mummificator" you can learn how mummify and if you are lucky you'll find Tutankhamun's virtual tomb.

A meticulous research through the "time machine" is another gimmick to mention for sound insight into the events in the antique world around Egypt. The viewer experiences cultures that lie thousands of years back in history.

The exhibition “Tutankhamun - The Golden Beyond" will run from August until October at the LACMA (Museum of Ancient Art). The Pharaoh Tutankhamun became world famous when his tomb with its magnificent treasures was discovered.
